TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Overview

TVS Motor has released its more powerful offering in the RTR series of sporty commuters. The Apache 200 4V comes with a brand new engine tuned for everyday riding as well as sporty riding when the mood takes you. This motorcycle is available in both carbureted and fuel injected version with the former priced lesser than the latter. TVS claims the RTR 200 4V will provide nippy handling characteristics due to its lightweight body and frame, and will be an ideal traffic filtering tool because of a wider torque curve from its engine.

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Mileage

Though the RTR 200 4V has been designed with racing DNA, it still delivers healthy fuel efficiency figure ranging between 35-40kmpl through a combined riding cycle.

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Engine & Transmission

Both the carb equipped and fuel injected versions are powered by a 197cc single cylinder engine pushing a bit more than 20bhp of power and 18.1Nm of peak torque. TVS has opted for a 5-speed gearbox with this engine for greater torque utilisation. An oil cooler helps in thermal stability and there is a new 4 valve head with an overhead camshaft.

The split cradle frame uses the engine as a stressed chassis member for more rigidity and the weight has been kept low to add to agility. Another slick new addition is the rear KYB mono shock suspension that provides stable handling character with comfort for longer times in the saddle.
